Attorneys

As one of New England’s largest intellectual property law firms, we service an international client base in leading technology fields. Our work has been described by The National Law Journal as, “high-octane” and we have been recognized by leaders in IP by American Lawyer Media, Chambers USA, Super Lawyers®, Patent Ratings LLC, and others. While it is our work that typically attracts new associates and laterals to Lahive, it is our culture and commitment to helping our attorneys succeed that has helped us grow the firm.

Lahive is committed to high-quality client work in an environment that is flexible and rewarding. We value a team approach and offer flexible work policies and a compensation structure that rewards a mix of skills, including billings, business generation, client maintenance, and associate mentoring. We also recognize the importance of balancing professional and personal commitments in order to serve our clients and our families well.

We look for candidates with diverse backgrounds in areas such as microbiology, chemistry, mathematics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer science, including practical and clinical experience in corporate or laboratory environments. After joining our team, attorneys work along side partners and technical specialists to enhance and safeguard our clients’ intellectual property. They work directly with inventors, scientists and engineers on ground breaking drug discoveries, innovative clean technologies, novel software development and other projects. Typical projects include: strategic development of IP portfolios; due diligence related to financing, mergers and acquisitions; patent preparation and prosecution; investigating the patent landscape; trademarks; and providing technical support in patent litigation.

Training and professional development is an integral part of our associate program. In addition to working closely with partners you will participate in formal training programs and our Lecture Lunch series.

We are always looking for talented associates and laterals with superior legal and technical skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to work in a collaborative, team environment. If you are interested in learning more about joining our team, please submit your resume to:
