Practice Description
Ms. DiGiorgio has more than 10 years of experience in intellectual property prosecution, including complex patent portfolios, strategic landscape and freedom to operate reviews, and patentability and infringement opinions, with specific expertise in antibody therapeutics, genetic engineering, and vaccines. She assists patent counsel of leading biotechnology companies and is responsible for working with them to develop strategic plans for creating and protecting their intellectual property.
Notable Experience
- Representing national and international companies of all sizes, sole inventors, start-up companies, and leading academic institutions.
- Particular expertise in securing patent rights for therapeutic monoclonal antibodies.
- Drafting the patent application which formed the basis of a $2.1 billion dollar licensing agreement.
- Preparing and prosecuting international patent portfolios for Bristol-Myers Squibb/Medarex, Novartis, and Amgen Inc.
